Raptor Persecution UK: Shot red kite successfully rehabilitated and released in Essex

Last month I blogged about a red kite that had been found injured with shotgun injuries in Galleywood Lane, Chelmsford, Essex (see here and here). The kite was picked up by concerned members of the public and taken to the South Essex Wildlife Hospital for treatment.
